The setting of the story is in Denmark. Wall the Nazis where occupying it. It is a bad time for them. There are Germen solders at each corner. “If I were one of them I woodent won`t to stick out.’’   And they only have a certain amount of energy.

What does Ellen say her mother is afraid of and why?

She said “her name is Lise.” Because the Nazis would have taken her if she said her real name. Annemarie`s dad pulled out some photos of the real Lise. The real lise had dark hair and Ellen had dark hair to. If I where one of them I would not want to be in that situation.
